Words to delete

Looking for some help this week in preparing the Bible talk with my church. What are some words that we all need to delete from our vocabulary? And how do you do it?

What are the most encouraging and life giving words that you have heard this week? What made them encouraging and a blessing to you?

Have you found the need this week to simply be silent and refrain from saying something that you would later regret?

Have you said too much this week? Where do you need to go back and seek forgiveness from God and someone?

Words are so powerful because they carry meanings from our head and our heart. On a positive note, is there something great that you have been meaning to tell someone, but you just have not "gotten a round to it." Say it. Write it. Type it. Be a blessing today with your words. May we guard our mouths the way we would guard a fire breathing dragon.

Silent Treatment

An amazing experience today with taking a silent vow from sunrise until dinner. It was amazing how conscious I was about things I wanted to say, but couldn't. The entire day was spent listening to family, songs, nature, and reading. My children had the most interesting reactions to quiet Dad. Emily just never understood why I wasn't speaking. Learned much, ready for my next one...but not tomorrow.
