FBC Oakwood family and friends,
I would like to share some good news. As our church family positions ourselves to be a Global Mission Resource Center we get to link arms together a have a tremendous impact. Financial gifts were given recently to pay for the back-to-school project with 5 other south Hall churches to provide back packs and school supplies to families in Oakwood. Gifts were made to begin the flooring project for a family an Oakwood. A special gift was given for upgrading our building security with new doors. A financial investment was made to provide for the music ministry through the rest of 2018. And we are continuing to receive gifts for helping Victory Christian Fellowship church and school in Jamaica with roof repair. And each week more than 10% of your tithes and offerings to the general budget directly fund missions and evangelism in Oakwood and around the world including Multiply Church in South Hall, Church planting in North America, International Missionaries, Good Samaritan food pantry, and on and on. Last night 13 people met with Dwight and Sue Joy of RU4 missions to discuss s short term trip to carry water filters and the gospel to the people of Nepal in 2019.
All good news.
We are better together. Team work makes the Dream Work. Living out Jesus' Dream of the Kingdom. Loving our neighbors and sharing the good news of God's love.
